When hiring a skip from us there are some items which should not be put in the skip

NO ASBESTOS
NO TYRES
NO FRIDGES/FREEZERS
NO PLASTERBOARD
NO GAS BOTTLES
NO VEHICLE/LEISURE BATTERIES
NO MATTRESSES

Level Loads Only

Skips must only be filled to no higher than the top of the side of the skip.  Boards must not be used to build up the sides of the skip.  Chessington Skip Hire drivers may refuse to collect skips which have been overloaded or unsafely loaded. 12 yard skips are for light rubbish only and must not contain soil or builders’ rubble.  Chessington Skip Hire drivers may refuse collection of 12 yard skips which are found to be overweight.

The initial hire period is for up to two weeks, but we are flexible on this.  Call the office when you have finished with your skip and we will arrange collection.
Our drivers will locate the skip so that it can be lifted safely – please do not move the skip from its drop off location unless specifically agreed with the driver beforehand.
Skips which have been placed on the road with a permit from the appropriate local authority, must be lit during the hours of darkness – call Chessington Skip Hire on 0208 394 1853 for more information.

If the hirer instructs a Chessington Skip Hire vehicle delivering or collecting a skip to leave the public highway, it shall be at the hirer’s risk and Chessington Skip Hire will not be liable for any costs caused due to damages, loss, claims or expenses to the vehicle itself or to the property of the hirer or third party – this includes subsidence caused when delivering or removing skips.
